The traditional carnival of Offida
Some important moments in the life of the Riviera delle Palme are mainly related to the Carnival of Offida. The Horse of Fire at Ripatransone
Another important event is characterized by the Fire Horse of Ripatransone. On the evening of the Octave of Easter, today as in the seventeenth century, the silhouette of a horse, with choking explosions of light, firing, rockets and pinwheels, fireworks, run between the people, firing the city streets recalling the 'joyful farewell to Ripa by the master of fires, called there to celebrate the arrival of the statue of the Madonna di San Giovanni in 1622. |
